Maverick's B-day Part 1

Like I mentioned in the previous post, we have never been able to capture any of the moments of the girls being born, so having pictures of Maverick's birth are extra special. I was scheduled for Monday, but we ended up at the hospital late Sunday night because I was contracting every 8-10 minutes. Thankfully the contractions calmed down after a shot of terb because my dr would not have been able to deliver me. After all we had been through, I REALLY wanted my dr to be the one to deliver. So we made it to our originally scheduled time. It was a much calmer experice. I was able to walk to the OR and I sat on the table while the nurses were able to take their time to set everything up. Much different from my previous expericences. The surgery went well. When my dr opened me up though, he was shocked to find that my uterus was very close to rupturing. Apparently you aren't supposed to see through your uterus, and he showed Danny that you could see the baby through mine. The baby came out just fine and instead of getting immediately rushed away to the NICU, Danny got to enjoy all the normal Daddy duties of a full term baby. My dr pulled Danny over to the table again to show him how thin my uterus was. He stuck his hand in my uterus and Danny said it looked like a clear plastic bag. Anyways, we are SO thankful for a safe full term delivery.

**So proud of Danny for capturing this moment. Hearing Maverick's first cry.**
